How to use the Black Earth Top Soil

For a new flowerbed:Weed the area and remove any debris. Loosen the soil and work a generous amount of top soil into the existing soil. After planting, cover with a thin layer of top soil for a neat finish.

In an existing flowerbed:Spread 5 to 10 cm on the surface to enrich the soil and feed the plants.

For a new vegetable garden: Mix equal amounts of black earth top soil, compost and sphagnum peat moss, level without compacting, plant and water.

In an existing vegetable garden: In the spring, add top soil and gently work it into the top layer. Avoid deep tilling to prevent disturbing the microorganisms present in the soil.

For lawns: To start a new lawn, spread 10 cm of black earth top soil over the weeded area. Use a rake to level the surface before spreading grass seed. Water daily until germination. 

Also use to topdress the lawn to improve soil structure and feed the grass.

For impeccable flowerbeds, remove weeds, use a round trowel to redefine the edges and cover the soil with a layer of black earth.
To enrich poor soil, mix the black earth with compost or manure before working it into the existing soil.
Our black earth top soil is perfect for filling holes, levelling and improving sandy soils.

To feed your plants, the soil must contain nutrients. Our garden soil contains 40% organic matter, which your plants will benefit from.

Our black earth top soil already contains a significant amount of organic matter and can therefore be used as is. For a highly productive vegetable garden or to improve soil that is very poor in nutrients, it can be mixed with compost, manure or peat moss.

Because it contains 40% organic matter, our black earth top soil structures, enriches and improves the condition of sandy soils.

Our enriched black earth can improve clay soil by lightening it, as it contains organic matter. Peat moss can also be added for a more durable effect. However, it's important to remember that clay soil will need to be enriched annually. Otherwise, it will return to its original condition.
