How to use the insecticidal soap

Step 1Shake well before use.

Step 2Choose the desired intensity by adjusting the nozzle.

Step 3Spray thoroughly to wet the plant until the solution begins to drip. Pay particular attention to the undersides of the leaves, as insects tend to hide there.

If necessary, repeat the treatment every 7 to 10 days, until all the insects have disappeared.

Note: For the most fragile varieties, first test on a small part of the plant.

Expert tips

  • In case of infestation, first spray the plant with water and submerge the pot before treating it with our insecticidal soap.
  • Before bringing your plants indoors or when you acquire new plants, always treat them with insecticidal soap and quarantine them before placing them near your other plants.
  • Never treat in direct sunlight or when the temperature exceeds 32 °C to avoid burning the leaves.

Outdoors, avoid applying in windy weather or before rain (the product would quickly disappear).

Precautions

  • Not recommended for ferns, nasturtiums, sweet peas, African violets, jade plants, gardenias, some begonias and other delicate plants.
  • If in doubt, before treating delicate plants such as roses, seedlings and transplants, test first on a few leaves. Wait at least one day to ensure the plant tolerates the treatment well before spraying the entire plant.
  • Do not spray on open flowers.
  • Do not spray in direct sunlight or when it is very hot.
  • Avoid treating an unhealthy plant.

FAQ

We have simple answers to all your questions!

How long does it take for insecticidal soap to work?

Insecticidal soap acts immediately (and as long as the plant is not dry) by killing insects that come into contact with it.

How can I be sure that insecticidal soap can be used on my plant?

Consult the Precautions section to find out if insecticidal soap is not recommended for your plant. If in doubt, or when treating a young plant, test the product on a leaf before spraying the entire plant.

My plant is in bloom. Should I wait before treating it?

Insects can quickly cause significant damage. It's best to treat without delay. Just avoid spraying the flowers.

Is insecticidal soap dangerous for humans or companion animals?

Insecticidal soap is a good alternative to chemical insecticides. Avoid spraying when it is windy or in the presence of children and pets. For complete recommendations and what to do if it comes into contact with the eyes or skin, or if it is ingested, consult the Warnings section.

How to clean after using insecticidal soap?

Insecticidal soap is no longer effective once it has dried. It is not harmful to you or your plant, and there is no need to clean the plant after use.

Does insecticidal soap remain effective for a long time after application?

The soap works instantly by suffocating insects on contact. It is ineffective once dry.
